Transaction has come down to Tk 700 crore

On Monday, the second working day of the week, the country’s main stock market Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and the other stock market Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) prices rose slightly, but the trading drought continued. On this day, the transaction on the DSE has come down to Tk 700 crore.

Trading on the DSE started on this day by increasing the share and unit prices of most of the companies. Which continues until the end of the transaction. However, the index did not rise much as the share prices of some large-cap companies fell.

At the end of the day, DSE’s main index DSEX rose 21 points to 6,075 points. The DSE-30 index, which is made up of well-selected companies among the other two indices, is down eight points at 2,567. The DSE Shariah Index rose one point to 1,430 points.

Shares and unit prices of 238 companies traded on the DSE throughout the day. On the other hand, the price of 89 has come down. And the price of 45 remains unchanged.

The total turnover in the market was 708 crore 18 lakh Tk. The previous day’s transaction was 837 crore 10 lakh Tk. As a result, the transaction has decreased by Tk 128.92 crore.

Beximco’s shares have been the most traded on the DSE in terms of money. Shares of the company worth Tk 83.38 crore were traded on the day. Genex Infosys, which is in the second place, had a turnover of Tk 58.95 crore. Beximco Pharma is in the third place with a turnover of Tk 36.9 crore.

Also listed on the DSE are BRAC Bank, Delta Life Insurance, Paramount Textiles, IFIC Bank, First Security Islami Bank, Fortune shoes and AFC Agro.

On the other hand, the overall price index of Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) CASPI has increased by 39 points. The market turnover was 36 crore 75 lakh Tk. Of the 285 companies that took part in the transaction, 150 rose. On the other hand, prices of 111 stocks declined and 24 stocks remained unchanged.
